ME/BME 736 — Advanced Finite Element Methods
In Fall 2026, I am teaching a graduate course on the analysis and implementation of advanced finite element methods. The course uses heat conduction and solid mechanics as recurring model problems and FEniCSx for computational work. Topics include error estimation, adaptivity, constrained and mixed methods, nonlinear and transient formulations, and PDE-constrained optimization.
